Sessions.

We offer free legal information sessions on a range of different topics centring around young peoples' rights in everyday life. Sessions tend to run for about 30-40 minutes, and we are more than happy to deliver multiple sessions back-to-back. We are also constantly working to develop exciting new sessions to add to our existing ones, so make sure to keep an eye out for updates!

Our current sessions

Renters Rights

For many young people, living out of home can be tough. This is especially so if landlords do not respect renters' rights. We aim to equip young people with an introductory overview of some of their more crucial rights in a rental property.

Protest Rights

Attending protests is becoming increasingly popular amongst young people in Australia. Whilst the right to protest is a fundamental aspect of democracy, there are a number of important rights and laws every young person should be aware of before attending their first protest.

AusLaw 101

This stream provides a more legalist introduction into the settler legal system in Australia. It is great for anyone who is interested in gaining an understanding into the way the legal system functions, the history behind it, and electoral voting.

Elections

Your Vote Matters Online Webinar

Australian Students' proficiency levels in civics are at their lowest level in two decades according to testing by ACARA. This session aims to address this by providing young people with a run-down of how the election process works in Australia.
Whether it's your first time voting or you just want a refresher, this session will have you ready to hit the polls with confidence!

Consent Laws
Consent, what it is and when it is obtained, is one of the most important areas of legal knowledge for young people. Whilst it is predominantly discussed in relation to sex, it is also relevant in many other aspects of a young person's life.
